Our Team is Growing

By Ahmie Baum, CFP® CFBA

Growth is always a good thing, especially when it means expanding your business and the services you can provide to clients. With that being said, we would like to announce that the team here at Interchange Capital Partners is adding two new members: Tyler Houston and Samuel Hopps! They will be working as financial analysts, supporting the team to better deliver our services to our current clients. They will also eventually be reaching out to clients directly to gather information and work on projects. Get to know them a little better here, and don’t forget to welcome them the next time you are in the office.

Tyler Houston

Tyler comes to us from Northwestern Mutual, where he worked his way up from a planning associate to the Assistant Director of their Investment Services team for the entire Pittsburgh region. Prior to that, he worked in sales after graduating with a degree in finance and economics from Slippery Rock University. His experience managing the investment department at Northwestern Mutual provided a great opportunity to connect with their top advisors and help them grow their businesses to new heights. This experience makes him the perfect fit to work with us as a Private Analyst.

Tyler’s interest in working in the finance industry is personal. His family didn’t always make wise financial decisions when he was growing up. That experience motivates him to want to help prevent other families from making the same poor financial decisions and experiencing the negative effects that can bring. In his spare time, he loves to hang out with his dog, Arlow, and cheer on his favorite sports teams—the New York Giants and Notre Dame. Go Giants and The Fighting Irish!

Samuel Hopps

Sam’s career path is a bit different. He started working in the financial industry after his first career with the U.S. Military. After high school, Sam joined the United States Army, serving in both Afghanistan and Iraq in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Sam graduated Cum Laude from Robert Morris University with a bachelor’s degree in finance. After RMU, Sam worked as a Pension Analyst working with defined contribution retirement plans. Before Interchange, Sam worked as a Credit & Collections Analyst for Industrial Scientific Corporation.

Sam’s grandfather introduced him to investing as a young child. He became intrigued by the incredible idea of being able to earn money with money. Sam currently lives in Clinton, PA, with his wife, Ashley, his son, Jaxon, and their dog, Cooper. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and being outdoors.

Our Commitment to You

Tyler and Sam are valuable additions to our team and are committed to providing the same level of service our clients know and expect from us here at Interchange Capital Partners. If you’re looking for a personal, trusting partnership, please take advantage of our Second Opinion Service. Email us at team@interchangecp.com or call our office at 412-307-4230 to schedule an introductory appointment. We look forward to hearing from you!
